Endpoints

This is where you check off what mobile or TV platforms you'd like to publish your app to.

Description

Let your potential downloaders know what they will get out of your app and content. The first few lines should be catchy and pull readers in. This is critical to converting would-be downloaders into active users. Keep in mind, app store visitors will only see the first four lines of your description before expanding it. Make them count. Then, you will also need to choose your App Store Name, which is limited to 30 characters. This is the name that will display inside of the app stores, and can be different or the same from the app name. Note that the app store name will automatically be considered a searchable keyword.

Primary Category

This will be used for indexing your app in the store. If a user is perusing the app store by category, this is where they would find you. Most users, however, use the search function to find apps so don't overthink it.

Secondary Category

It is not mandatory to add a secondary category, but if you feel your content can't be put into a box, feel free to choose another category.

Keywords

Keywords in the app store work just like a search engine. Consider what words your target audience might use to find you. Keep it simple. You only have 100 characters to spare. There is no need to use phrases or repeat keywords. Also, keep in mind that your app store name is automatically considered a keyword.

Copyright

This should be the entity that controls the copyright for your content.

Google Analytics Tracking ID

Ok, this isn't exactly relevant to the app store, but don't you want to know what your app users are doing? This ID number will allow you to gather analytics info about your app. Important: this ID is different than the tracking ID for your website. For more information on how to create your mobile app tracking ID, please visit the Google Analytics Tracking ID page.

Content Rating

When submitting your app, Apple will designate an age rating from 4+ up to 17+. If you have content that could be deemed 17+, please let us know using this dropdown.

Subscriptions

Here is where you choose whether your app will have subscription options (toggle On/Off). If you choose On, you'll then be prompted to choose the Type, Title, Labels, and prices of the various subscriptions. Once you choose these items, you can go into App Creator, and from there into App Design, to Metering + CTA to work on the UI and language of your metering prompts.

Geo Fencing

You can make feeds selectively available by country. The default will be set to display all content in app countries, so you must toggle Display All Content In All Countries to No. If you choose No, you’ll be asked to choose a Default Country, which will default to the United States unless otherwise selected. If you choose No then you have the option to choose which countries can access what content. Go into App Creator, and as you add or edit Content, you will be prompted in “Setup” under Release Options to choose whether that content is available in All Countries, if you uncheck it - you’ll be able to check entire continents or go country by country. Screenshots

These screenshots are as important if not more so than the app description. Beautiful, captivating pictures of your content will drive app downloads and, in turn, sales. A few things to keep in mind when uploading these screenshots:

- There are three required screenshot sizes (take a look at our Screenshot Specs page for details)

- You only need one of each size screenshot, but can have up to five.

- Your app may be rejected if the screenshots misrepresent the in-app experience (iPad screenshot for the Apple Watch app)
